Director Chemical Engineering Services

Remote - Dallas, Fort Worth, Houston, Midland, Odessa, Greeley, CO, TX

NOTE:  This position may be based out of Houston, TX, DFW, TX, Midland/Odessa, TX or Greeley, CO with extensive travel

Job Summary

The purpose of the Director Chemical Engineering Services is to develop new customers and improve customer relationships by integrating existing and new technologies. The director will ensure the growth of the company through implementation of continuous education for direct reports and the sales team. They are responsible for the improvement of efficiencies with the Technical Services department.

Primary Job Duties

  • Sales And Service
  • Develop relationships with new and existing customers to identify needs and expand market opportunities.
  • Provide insight into application of technology.
  • Provide technical guidance to the sales team to better understand customer’s needs and meet KPIs.
  • Technical Services Execution
  • Assist in the creation and responsible for execution of strategic direction of the technical services group.
  • Integration of technology throughout operations and business development teams
  • Generate data and analysis for the development of case studies.
  • Mentor and develop direct reports to improve efficiency and grow business.
  • Product Line Management
  • Identify needs and trends within the industry.
  • Engage technical team to improve quality of operation and application of technology.
  • Regular travel to markets and worksites (35-50%)

Required Competencies / Prerequisites 

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or engineering
  • 5+ years’ experience in oil and gas chemicals
  • 5+ years’ equipment application experience
  • Experience in technical sales and technical account management
  • Must be familiar with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively disseminate high level technical information.

Physical Requirements 

  • Office environment with frequent visits to project sites 

PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) required and must be worn when on jobsite location:

  •  Steel-toed safety shoes (provided by employee) 
  •  Safety Glasses (Provided by employer) 
  •  Hard hats (Provided by employer) 
  •  FRC (fire retardant clothing) attire (Provided by employer) H2S Monitor & Proper Dionix Equipment (Provided by employer)
