Specialist – Billing and Collections
SUMMARY OF JOB PURPOSE
The Specialist – Billing and Collections will be responsible for a variety of collection, billing, purchasing and general accounting duties within the finance team. This role will report to the Controller and will work closely with the CFO and accounting staff.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
2.1 Billing
- Accurately input invoices into QuickBooks
- Reconcile field summaries to daily submissions
- Submit invoices for payments into customers’ electronic systems along with back up detail
- Apply customer payments and credits
- Research and solve payment discrepancies
- Weekly follow ups on customer payments
- Comply with general policies and procedures of Bosque Disposal Systems, LLC
2.2 Accounts Receivable
- Contact delinquent customers to resolve issues
- Prepare detail collections log
- Prepare collections summary for management
REQUIRED COMPETENCIES – Education / Knowledge / Skills and Abilities
- 3 to 5 years’ of extensive billing and collections High School Diploma required
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Performs all work with a high sense for accuracy
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite including MS Excel
- Proficiency in QuickBooks a plus
- Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
- Experience in the oil and gas industry a plus
- 10% Travel Required
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Office environment with desk at corporate office
- PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) required and must be worn when on yards & jobsite locations:
