Job Summary

• Operate a Diffused Air Flotation (DAF) Unit for water reuse project.
• Operate Equipment including, but not limited, to chemical pumps, water transfer pumps and light plants.
• Maintain levels in storage tank system.
• Collection and testing of water samples.
• Works with hazardous chemicals (Personal Protective Equipment Provided)
• May collaborate with a Senior Operator or be trained to work on a solo unit.
• Up to a 16-hour shift schedule including on location time.

Primary Job Duties 

• Conduct walk arounds to pull samples and check meters and gauges on equipment
• Ensure daily operations are in compliance with EPA and OSHA regulations
• Communicate with customers and third-party vendors, as well as other internal customers
• Maintain daily housekeeping at the work site.
• Provide excellent customer service. 

Scope and Accountabilities

• Follow Bosque Disposal Systems LLC policies and procedures.
• Inform supervisor promptly of any issues.
• Must stay on location at all times to maintain oversight of the unit.

Required Competencies / Prerequisites

• Ability to read, write and communicate the English language.
• Must have an acceptable driving record.
• Use basic math and computer skills.
• High school diploma or GED
• Must complete H2S certification course.
• All current safety certifications

Physical Requirements

• Light to moderate physical effort required.
• Must be able to lift fifty (50) pounds.
• Required to walk, reach, and move about the unit.
• Work indoors/outdoors.
• Work in/around mechanical, industrial, and electrical equipment
• Work in/around trucks 
• Work in temperature extremes due to weather conditions and operating equipment 
• Wear safety equipment

PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) required and must be worn when in the shop.

• Steel-toed safety shoes (Employee must provide)
• Safety Glasses (Provided by employer)
• Hard hats (Provided by employer
• FRC (fire retardant clothing) attire (Provided by employer)
• H2S Monitor & Proper Dionix Equipment (Provided by employer)
